Shots boss Waddock played for Luton between 1994 and 1998.
Aldershot manager Gary Waddock says he is happy in his position amid speculation linking him to the vacant manager's position at Luton Town.
Hatters' boss Mick Harford left the Blue Square Premier club by mutual consent last week.
Waddock, who played 153 times for Luton, told BBC Surrey: "I'm extremely happy and under contract. I'm extremely pleased with what we're doing here.
"Rumour and speculation in this football world is incredible."
He added: "There'll be loads of people put forward for the job.
"I'm disappointed for Mick Harford and the situation that he faced during the time he was in charge. He had to put up with a hell of a lot and I thought he did an extremely good job."
