Aldershot have lost two key players to long term injury.
Captain Adam Hinshelwood is out with a knee injury and midfielder Ben Harding sustained ankle ligament damage during Saturday's match against Hereford.
Manager Gary Waddock said: "He could be out for up to two months which is a major blow for him and for us.
"Ben is obviously devastated at the news as he has just worked hard to return from the injury that ruled him out of the finale of last season."
Waddock added: "Adam [Hinshelwood] had a scan on his knee yesterday and he will be out for up to a month. Again, this is a big disappointment as he's settled in really well as the captain."
Defender Anthony Charles could return within the next two weeks and Ben Herd is set to resume training this week says Waddock.
"We will just have to get on with the situation but with such a positive start to the season, it does make life that little more difficult.
"We certainly can't afford anymore setbacks with regards to injuries though."
With the Shots' options looking increasingly light, Waddock has hinted that he may approach the board to review his playing budget.
