Cochrane played for Yeovil, Millwall and Rushden & Diamonds in 2008
Aldershot have signed Antigua & Barbuda international midfielder Justin Cochrane until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old left Rushden & Diamonds last month after making four appearances on non-contract terms.
Cochrane, who can play in defence, was at QPR with Shots boss Gary Waddock, and has played for Crewe, Gillingham, Rotherham, Yeovil and Millwall.
Waddock told the club website: "He will provide us with that bit of bite and athleticism in the middle of the park."
He added: "I had Justin at QPR as he progressed through the youth system. Although he is only 27 years old he has acquired good experience in the Championship.
"It was important that we could bring in another body to bolster the group and Justin is a good acquisition to the squad."
