The New Saints loan Craig Williams back to Llanelli

The New Saints winger Craig Williams has returned to former club Llanelli on loan until the end of the season.

Williams was a high-profile signing in September 2008, but this season has been unable to prise a starting place from the in-form Richie Partridge.

"I haven't had much of a chance at TNS this season, so I see this as an opportunity of playing some games and getting some form back," said Williams.

"Hopefully I can do well at Llanelli and get a contract there next season."

Williams (27) played for Carmarthen and had a trial at Southampton before becoming one of Llanelli's full-time players in 2005.

"I haven't had much of a chance at TNS this season, so I see this as an opportunity of playing some games and getting some form back," Williams added.

"Llanelli are a great club and I know most of the boys there, and I am grateful to their manager Andy Legg for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to the challenge."

Under the terms of the loan agreement, Williams will not be able to play when Llanelli and TNS face each other, either in the Welsh Premier League or in the Loosemore's Cup final.
