The New Saints boss Mike Davies hails Bohemians win
The New Saints celebrate beating Bohemians
The New Saints boss Mike Davies their Champions League progress to the whole club - past and present.
Saints' 4-1 aggregate win over Bohemians Ireland was their first in 12 European campaigns.
"Credit is of course due to the team, who've done all they've been asked of, and to the backroom boys," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"But I'm really made up for those who've been here season on season and it's never really happened for them."
The New Saints recovered from a 1-0 first-leg defeat in Dublin to thrash the pre-match favourites 4-0 at the Park Hall stadium in Oswestry.
"Everything went right for us," said Davies - who at the end slipped quietly off the pitch while his players and staff celebrated.
"Yes I'm delighted, but I wanted others to enjoy the moment."
Saints' first foray into Europe - under the Llansantffraid FC banner in 1996 - saw them beaten 6-1 over two legs by Ruch Chorzow from Poland in the old Cup Winners' Cup.
They next qualified for Europe in 2000 - and have been involved in the Champions League, UEFA Cup or Europa League every year since then.
