It was a disappointing night against Slovenia - we maybe had the best chances to win the game but probably didn't deserve to.
The only good thing is that Estonia drew with Serbia so that result went our way and it leaves the group wide open.
Northern Ireland were missing several players who would have started the match so from that point of view it's not a bad result.
A lot of people are asking why we didn't see more of Pat McCourt, who only came on for the last 10 or 15 minutes, but showed the potential that he has.
We have enough players on the park who can defend - we need a few who can show more flair in attack.
McCourt can make things happen and he showed two or three glimpses of what he is capable of - in my view, he should have been on from the start.
Overall, it was a poor game and both managers will be thinking they could have won the match.
Neither side took the bull by the horns and went for it and that's the disappointing thing.
Manager Nigel Worthington will be pleased with his side's effort - the players always give 100% - but we never put Slovenia under a period of sustained pressure, as we have done previously under the lights at Windsor Park.
The Faroe Islands are next up at Windsor Park in August and it's always a worry against the minnows.
We dropped two points there in October and we probably needed the three points against Slovenia to make up for that.
I don't think any other team will drop points to the Faroe Islands and I expect us to win at home, we should be too strong.
Having said that, we need an early goal or it could get nervy.
Jim Magilton Former Northern Ireland midfielder
There was a sense of disappointment after Northern Ireland's draw with Slovenia as there were huge expectations but some of the players maybe found it overwhelming.
The Slovenians enjoyed a lot of possession and the Northern Ireland players never got among them at any stage during the game.
The injuries to Steve Davis, Kyle Lafferty and Aaron Hughes took their toll and the experience those players would have brought was missed on a big night.
Northern Ireland didn't have much of the ball but still had a couple of great goalscoring opportunities and showed great character to hang in there.
Chris Brunt just couldn't reach Corry Evans' cross - the ball was just too far in front of him.
You must give some credit to Slovenia too as they are a really good side who qualified for the last World Cup.
They had a lot of possession and squandered one great chance to score.
Northern Ireland gave the ball away too cheaply - the opposite of the game against Serbia where they held onto the ball well for long spells.
The players certainly gave 100% but were just lacking that little bit of quality which might have helped them win the game.
Gareth McAuley was outstanding in his first time as captain and Lee Camp can be very satisfied with his home debut - he made an excellent save and should be proud of his efforts.
Gareth still needs more belief that he can score goals from inside the six-yard box, just as he did in Belgrade.
The next two home games are very important for Northern Ireland now, and both against opposition they can beat.
They should see off the Faroe Islands in August and then Serbia would become a really big game in September.
