Crusaders secured a deserved win over Portadown at Shamrock Park.

In the first half David Miskelly pushed a Martin Donnelly free-kick over the bar, Declan Caddell shot wide and Jordan Owens was twice off-target.

Miskelly also saved from Halliday but after the break Halliday headed in from a 47th-minute Donnelly cross.

Stephen McBride headed Keith O'Hara's goalbound effort off the line before Stuart Dallas hammered the ball home for the second goal in the 80th minute.

Dallas fired in the rebound after Miskelly had saved Owens' shot.

The victory sees Crusaders move into second in the Premiership table.
