Ballymena United secured a narrow win over Newry City despite failing with two second-half penalties.
Rory Carson shot in the only goal of the game in the 70th minute after a goalmouth scramble during which three United players had efforts blocked.
It was a foul on Carson which led to Ballymena's first penalty which saw keeper Nathan Morley-Hillen save from Gary McCutcheon.
Nathan Hanley took United's second penalty but the keeper saved again.
The spot-kick was given by referee Stephen Weatherall after Morley-Hillen had brought down Carson.
In the first half Newry's Andy Graham forced a tremendous save from Dwayne Nelson.
