Mark Scoltock is delighted to be moving to the club he supports
Derry City have signed defender Mark Scoltock from neighbours Institute in a one-year deal.
"Although I have loved my time at Institute, I'm really excited about going to Derry as I've been a City fan since I was a wee boy," said Scoltock.
Mark McChrystal is set to return for a third spell at the Brandywell after leaving Lisburn Distillery.
Striker Mark Farren is poised to re-sign for Derry while the club has been linked with Newry City's Emmet Friars.
Friars, who hails from Derry, has been placed on the transfer list at his own request.
Former Northern Ireland U21 defender McChrystal has agreed a one-year deal with the Candystripes and the move is expected to be completed this week.
Farren looks likely to be joining midfielder Kevin Deery in staying with Derry, despite their drop to the League of Ireland First Division after the financial turmoil at the club.
