Newry failed to break through a 10-man Institute side in a lacklustre Carling Premiership game at Drumahoe.

City keeper Andy Coleman kept out Kevin Ramsay's early effort while Newry striker Chris Morgan saw his shot deflected wide.

Full-back Thomas Wray received a straight red card on 34 minutes for a two-footed tackle on Morgan.

Gavin Cullen turned away Cullen Feeney's 25-yard shot as Institute held firm to secure a point.
