Michael Carvill scores twice as Linfield beat Newry City 3-0 at Windsor Park.
Linfield are up to third in the Carling Premiership table after a convincing win over Newry City at Windsor Park.
Michael Carvill snapped up a close-range opener on 36 minutes and Jamie Tomelty ghosted in at the far post to make it 2-0 early in the second half.
Carvill got his second goal 20 minutes from the end with a neat finish from just inside the penalty area.
Newry's best chance came early on when Chris Morgan's effort was cleared off the line by defender Jim Ervin.
Soon after that, Blues keeper Alan Blayney saved well to deny former Linfield man Stephen Garrett.
