Crusaders skipper Colin Coates has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with the Seaview club.

The agreement will see the central defender stay at Seaview for the next two seasons.

Coates is still recovering from a broken collarbone but continued his rehabilitation by playing for the reserves at the weekend.

The news comes as a further boost to manager Stephen Baxter after Martin Donnelly agreed to stay with the club.
