Neil Teggart had scored three goals in two games before getting injured
Ballymena United await news of the extent of the stomach muscle injury sustained by striker Neil Teggart.
Teggart will undergo a scan on Tuesday morning and could be out for the rest of the season depending on the outcome.
Albert Watson has begun light training after his leg injury but is unlikely to play for the first team for four weeks.
Another defender, Craig McClean, is training again but must build up his match fitness with the reserves before being considered for first-team duty.
Skipper Gary Haveron is expected to miss most of the remainder of the season with a broken leg and winger Mark Picking is also still absent for the Sky Blues, with a badly twisted ankle.
Teggart suffered his injury in training and had to retire during a 2-1 defeat by Dungannon Swifts in November.
Meanwhile manager Roy Walker is waiting for Glentoran to release midfielder Philip Carson on a loan deal.
The clubs have agreed in principle that Carson will spend the rest of the season at the Showgrounds, beginning when the January transfer window opens.
