Neil Teggart faces a lay-off after being injured in training

Bottom club Ballymena United are likely to be without leading goalscorer Neil Teggart for up to a month.

Teggart is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks after pulling an abdominal muscle in training.

It leaves manager Roy Walker struggling for firepower ahead of Saturday's Premiership clash away to Glenavon.

Midfielder Gavin Melaugh is suspended for the match at Mourneview Park but Aidan Watson is available again after his one-match ban.

Boss Walker has again stresssed that will not quit his Showgrounds role despite seeing his side win just one league fixture all season.

Ballymena are seven points adrift of nearest rivals Glenavon and Cliftonville.

Walker said some players would be leaving the club as he looked to bring new faces in during January's transfer window.
