Alan McDonald's Glens had won their five previous league games
Leaders Glentoran had to be content with a home point as Lisburn Distillery again showed their credentials in Tuesday's JJB Sports Premiership clash.
Andy Waterworth missed a first-half chance for the Glens but James Taylor saved well from Curtis Allen and the Whites had a penalty claim turned down.
Colin Nixon had a second-half effort ruled out for offside while Gary Hamilton was denied by Philip Matthews.
With Linfield losing at Mourneview, the Glens lead the table by eight points.
Glentoran had the first decent attempt on goal as David Scullion tested Matthews with a 30-yard shot.
Allen charged into the Glentoran penalty area on 17 minutes but James Taylor saved the Distillery man's angled shot.
At the other end, Gary Hamilton played in Waterworth three minutes later but the former Whites striker blasted well over the bar.
Distillery then had their penalty shout before half-time as the visitors claimed that Paul Leeman had felled Allen in the box.
Glentoran did have the ball in the net on 64 minutes but Nixon's close-range effort was ruled out for offside after Matthews had failed to hold Kyle Neill's free kick.
On 71 minutes, Matthews did brilliantly to block a Hamilton shot with an outstretched leg.
In the closing stages, Gary Brown had a half-chance for the Whites but Taylor made the save.
