Paul Leeman kisses the club badge after scoring against Coleraine
Glentoran captain Paul Leeman is confident his team's title bid will not mirror recent seasons and falter during the festive period.
Leeman scored in Saturday's 2-1 win at Coleraine, which took the Glens seven points clear in the Premiership.
"We know in recent years we haven't done it in December," he said.
"That's a big motivation and hopefully we can pick ourselves up, hit top form at the right time and pick up as many points we can this month."
He added: "It's a big three points for us - we weren't at out best but we managed to come from behind again and grind out a great win.
"Seven points is a nice cushion to have but it's early days and there's a big month coming up."
Leeman volleyed into the top corner to level the game and it was a sweet moment for the defender.
"The ball just bounced about a bit and it came to me - it was a bad first touch and the only way I was going to get it was with my weaker left foot so I just swung at it and luckily it went in.
