Kenny anger after Cork comeback

Derry City manager Stephen Kenny
Stephen Kenny saw his team lose their unbeaten home record

Derry City manager Stephen Kenny has described Sunday night's 3-2 home defeat by Cork City as unacceptable.

The Candystripes were 2-0 ahead before the visitors fought back to snatch all three Eircom Premier Division points.

"We were in the ascendancy but we were careless and were punished by conceding sloppy goals - it's not really acceptable," said Kenny.

"I don't recall that ever happening before and it's our first defeat at the Brandywell this season."

He added: "We played some good football so we are kicking ourselves after throwing it away.

"We've lost a match we should have won. We did the hard work in going 2-0 up.

"There's room for improvement and we will get better but you just can't be careless at this level."
