Ward has signed a two-and-half-year deal with Ballymena

Former Dungannon player Ward has agreed and two-and-a-half year deal with the Showgrounds outfit.

Ward and Rory Hamill were surplus to requirements at the Oval after manager Alan McDonald moved to sign Darren Boyce from Coleraine on Friday.

Coleraine and Donegal Celtic are being linked with Hamill, whose second spell at the Oval appears to be over.
