Linfield kept up their pursuit of the Premier pacesetters with a 2-0 win over Donegal Celtic at Windsor Park. Peter Thompson scored on six minutes, turning and firing home, with the ball taking a deflection off Paul McVeigh.
Thompson volleyed inches wide and Mark Dickson ballooned the ball over the bar while Alan Mannus denied Stephen McAlorum and Ciaran Donaghy went close.
Noel Bailie made it 2-0 on 60 minutes with a half-volley from inside the area which clipped the inside of the post.
