Glentoran and Cliftonville will be in action at the Oval on Saturday |
Glentoran's Carnegie Irish Premier League match against Cliftonville at the Oval on Saturday will go ahead with a 1300 GMT kick-off. The game had been in doubt because of safety concerns but following a series of meetings, the encounter got the go-ahead on Wednesday evening.
Health and safety officials had elevated the game to "high risk" after trouble following the CIS Cup final.
A number of Reds fans were involved in disturbances after that game.
On Wednesday, the two clubs were involved in a number of meetings with health and safety officials as well as the PSNI.
A number of Belfast City councillors, including Jim Rodgers, were also involved in the negotiations.
Glentoran officials are not entirely happy with the earlier kick-off but there is a sense of relief that the game is going ahead.
"Obviously, we are not happy with a 1pm kick-off which means the fans will suffer, but we did our utmost to have the match played at the normal time," said Glentoran director of football Tom Dick.
