An 81st minute goal by Shane McCabe saw 10-man Dungannon take maximum points. In the first half Kevin Kelbie shot over from 30 yards and Dwayne Nelson saved from Randal Reid and Mark Picking while Reid also headed over the bar.
For the Swifts, Rory Hamill went close and Michael Ward mishit a shot while David Scullion was always dangerous.
After the break Ward and Picking hit the bar, King's free-kick sailed over, McCabe struck from a tight angle and Gary Fitzpatrick was sent-off on 84.
