 Stephen Kenny's side still have a game in hand on Shels | Derry City thumped Sligo Rovers at the Brandywell on Tuesday night to move within four points of Eircom League leaders Shelbourne. Darren Kelly headed the impressive Candystripes into the lead on 17 minutes after a Gareth McGlynn corner. Sean Hargan added to the lead with a deflected shot from 25 yards in the 24th minute and Stephen O'Flynn hit the third five minutes later. Mark Farren struck his third goal in two games to make 4-0 on 66 minutes.
