Thomas Stewart and Peter Thompson scored Linfield's goals

Thomas Wray missed a glorious early chance for the Swifts although Thompson and Stewart tested Dungannon goalkeeper Dwayne Nelson before the interval.

Thompson put Linfield ahead on 71 minutes after a Michael Gault pass.

Stewart added the second goal two minutes later after being played in by Tim Mouncey.

The conclusion of the match was delayed after the floodlights went out with a minute of normal time left.

However, after around 10 minutes the lights came on again and the game was completed.
