Glentoran have reached the semi-finals of the CIS Cup after beating Portadown 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out at the Oval. After battling out a 1-1 draw, the Glens scored all five of their penalties but Richard Clarke saw his saved by Glens keeper Elliott Morris.
Gary Hamilton, Kyle Neill, Colin Nixon, Willo McDonagh and Jason Hill scored spot-kicks for the Glens.
In normal time, Neill had scored the opener for the Glens but John Convery equalised 15 minutes from the end.
Neill netted on 32 minutes, scoring against his former club with a direct free-kick which curled inside the near post.
Convery headed in the equaliser 15 minutes from time after a free-kick was launched into the Glens' penalty area.
In the shoot-out, the Portadown penalty scorers were Peter Kennedy, Gary McCutcheon, Marc McCann and Henry McStay.
