Paul McAreavey shows his dejection after his early sending off |
Mark Dickson's injury-time winner against his old club completed Linfield's second half-comeback in Saturday's CIS Cup tie at Windsor Park. Linfield's Paul McAreavey was sent off for a challenge on Colm Kearney in the sixth minute and the Larne player put his team ahead 16 minutes later.
Liam Mullan extended Larne's lead on 57 before Tim Mouncey gave the Blues hope by replying four minutes later.
Peter Thompson levelled on 71 minutes before Dickson's late winner.
The win guarantees Linfield a place in the quarter-finals.
Larne will still qualify for the last eight if they defeat Lisburn Distillery in their final group game next weekend.
