Smart had a year remaining on his contract at Gigg Lane |
Bury striker Allan Smart has left the Gigg Lane outfit to join Irish Premier Division side Portadown. Smart, 31, had a year left on his contract but failed to add to the 14 appearances he made last term after January because of a knee injury.
The former Preston, Carlisle, Watford, Oldham and Dundee United striker has signed a two-year deal with Ports.
Boss Chris Casper told Bury's website: "Allan hasn't been fit enough for full-time professional football."
