Larne forward Gary McCutcheon could return to Portadown |
Portadown have offered Larne striker Gary McCutcheon the chance of returning to Shamrock Park. The 27-year-old former Kilmarnock player, who netted 19 times for Larne this season, is considering whether to sign a two-year deal with the Ports.
Meanwhile, Inver Park manager Jim Hagan has brought in former Cliftonville boss Marty Tabb as his assitant.
William Wharry, Julian Ward and Bertie Fulton have signed one-year deals with the Co Antrim club.
Ross Hanford has agreed a new contract and talks are continuing with defender Kris Lindsay and striker Mark Dickson.
Hagan told the club website that Larne are in a "two horse race" with another club for Lindsay's signature while a number of clubs were interested in Dickson.
The new boss, who took over from Kenny Shiels last week, believes he can keep McCutcheon happy at Larne.
"Obviously we are unlikely to match Portadown's offer in terms of money but I told all the players the main reason I took the job is because I believe we can take Larne to the next level," said Hagan.
"I want them all to be part of it and the picture should become a lot clearer by the end of the week."
Hagan played alongside Vinny Arkins in the Portadown attack during a loan spell in the 2001-02 season.
