Larne have secured the services of Gary McCutcheon who was also on the wanted list of his former club Portadown. The striker enjoyed a loan spell at the Shamrock Park club five years ago but has opted to join the Irish Cup finalists this time round.
The 25-year-old played for Stranraer last season and was formerly on the books of SPL club Kilmarnock.
Larne manager Jimmy McGeough hopes the acquisition of McCutcheon will help persuade Mark Dickson to stay at Inver.
Dickson is being coveted by both Linfield and newly-promoted Glenavon.
"The first person I called when we signed McCutcheon was Mark Dickson and he seems encouraged," said McGeough.
The Larne boss also hopes to convince Jeff Hughes to stay at the club and wants Coleraine midfielder Stephen Beatty to strengthen his squad.
