Tommy Kincaid is in temporary charge of the Glentoran team |
Glentoran chairman Stafford Reynolds has said the club will take its time in selection a new manager after being turned down by Roy Walker. The former Crusaders and Glenavon boss had been offered the job just two days after Roy Coyle's resignation.
"I do not think there is any hurry. It is all about selecting the right candidate," said Reynolds.
"When the right man comes along, it will be the right time. For now Tommy Kincaid is doing a good job."
Kincaid, Coyle's assistant since the start of the season, is one of the contenders to be the next number one at the Oval.
Alan McDonald is another possible successor, but it is understood that Michael O'Neill will be ruled out because of work commitments.
Glentoran beat Coleraine 3-0 last Saturday in their first match since Coyle's departure.
They are at home to First Division side Ballyclare Comrades in the sixth round of the Nationwide Irish Cup this Saturday.
