Newry striker Andy Crawford broke the deadlock against Ards |
Newry climbed up to sixth with a third straight Carnegie Premier League victory on Friday night. City striker Andy Crawford shot wide from six yards with the best opening in the first half.
Crawford made amends by sliding in to score the opener on 64 minutes after Ards failed to clear the ball.
Damian Curran's 76th minute penalty after a foul on Richard Clarke made it 2-0 before Ryan Tumelty gave Ards hope with a fine finish on 82 minutes.
