David Scullion scored Dungannon's third against Ards |
Dungannon Swifts moved up to fourth place in the Carnegie Premier League by coming from behind to beat bottom-placed Ards at Stangmore Park. The Swifts had led through Michael Ward's 12th-minute goal but Ards equalised through a Jason Hill penalty.
Ards went into the lead on 50 minutes through Andrew Waterworth but they then had Raymond Campbell sent-off.
Terry Fitzpatrick scored Dungannon's equaliser on 65 with David Scullion and Ward getting further goals.
It was a disappointing end for Ards who had come into the game with their confidence boosted by getting their first win of the campaign six days earlier.
They did go behind when Ward's shot was palmed into the net by keeper Ian Lester.
It could have been two but Lester redeemed himself by saving Ward's penalty after Kevin Keegan had been brought down by John Bailie.
It was a penalty which brought the Ards equaliser on 43 minutes, Hill netting after a foul on Waterworth.
Ards went into the lead when Hill's header was saved by Gavin Cushley and Waterworth pounced to shoot in.
But things started to go wrong for George Neill's side when Campbell got his second yellow card.
Fitzpatrick then equalised for the Swifts, Scullion's left-foot shot made it 3-2 on 85 minutes and there was still time for Ward to fire in a fourth.
