Armagh City 0-0 Dungannon Swifts
JP Gallagher
JP Gallagher was denied by Paul Rice
Armagh and Dungannon Swifts failed to find the net in Friday night's Carnegie Premier League game at Holm Park.

Gavin Cushley saved from David Ward in the first half while at the other end, Kevin Keegan failed to connect with David Scullion's ball into the box.

In the second period, Paul Rice denied JP Gallagher before Armagh were reduced to ten men when Mark Turkington was sent-off for a second bookable offence.

Late on, David Ward blasted wide and Cushley saved well from Barry Meehan.

Armagh had the first chance of the game when Ward beat the offside trap but Swifts goalkeeper Cushley came off his line to block the shot.

Keegan and Gallagher had chances for Dungannon before Turkington's dismissal by referee David Best.

Armagh should have won the game when Ward missed with the goal at his mercy and then Cushley produced a fine double save from Meehan.

A minute's silence in memory of football legend George Best was observed prior to the game.
