Davy O'Hare kept a clean sheet for Coleraine |
Glentoran lost their 100 per cent league record when they were held to a scoreless draw at Ballycastle Road. The Glens had the better of the early chances, with Gary Browne, Shaun Holmes, Mark Glendinning and Michael Halliday all going close.
Kyle McVey was off target with two headers and Paul McLaughlin had two second half chances for the Bannsiders.
Halliday hit the bar with a header and had an effort saved by Davy O'Hare while Stephen Parkhouse fired over.
Shaun Holmes' early strike was saved well by O'Hare and Halliday's header from the rebound came off the upright.
Browne failed to hit the target soon after and Glendinning headed over from a corner.
McVey and McLaughlin had opportunities to put the home side ahead, the latter shooting wide and then seeing his effort saved by Elliott Morris.
Halliday should have broken the deadlock, finding the woodwork with the goal at his mercy and late on, Chris Morgan chipped wide.
