Dungannon Swifts 4-1 Larne

Timmy Adamson opened the scoring for Dungannon Swifts

Dungannon Swifts have taken over top spot in Group Four of the CIS Cup with a 4-1 win over Larne at Stangmore Park.

The Swifts domianted from the start and took a 12th-minute lead when Timmy Adamson slid in to score at the far post from a Kevin Keegan cross.

Adamson then returned the favour flicking on for Keegan to net just after half-time.

Michael Ward scored two more for the Swifts before Gary McCutcheon scrambled Larne's consoltaion on 88 minutes.

Larne boss Jimmy McGough will be glad to see the back of Dungannon, his side having been thrashed 7-3 by Joe McAree's men earlier in the season.
