Gareth McAuley is a Northern Ireland 'B' international |
Coleraine's Gareth McAuley seems set to move to Stockport County after impressing on a two-week trial. The 24-year-old told his current manager Marty Quinn that he will hold contract talks with Sammy McIlroy's outfit this week.
Former Northern Ireland manager McIlroy gave McAuley his first 'B' international call-up.
Coleraine will also lose Gary Haveron for much of the season after the player sustained a broken ankle in training.
Jody Tolan may also require a groin operation and already undergoing surgery last season.
Coleraine have lost Rory Hamill, Michael McHugh, Tony Gorman and Ian McCoosh during the close-season while Barry Curran may have played his final game for the club as he hasn't turned up for pre-season training.
On the plus side, Larne's Ciaran O'Connor and Ballymoney's Davy Calderwood have linked up with the Bannsiders.
