Bohemians 1-1 Derry City
Derry City left Dublin with a good point after Friday night's Eircom League Premier Division game.
The Candystripes had led for 25 minutes but conceded an equaliser in the second half.
Padraig Moran got the goal which stunned the crowd at Dalymount Park on 25 minutes.
But former Glenavon midfielder Stephen Caffrey brought Bohemians level with a goal in the 50th minute.
The result means Derry have four points from six games in the Premier Division. They had lost their opening four fixtures.
Next Tuesday Mahon's men play their first group game in the League Cup away to Finn Harps.
