Derry match called off
Eircom Premier Division:
Longford Town -OFF- Derry City

Derry City boss Kevin Mahon
Kevin Mahon's side will play Shelbourne next Thrusday
Derry City's game with Longford on Saturday evening has been called off.

The Candystripes were due to travel on Friday but the Flancare Park pitch was waterlogged following heavy rain.

Derry's inactivity will give a number of players a chance to recover from injury.

Manager Kevin Mahon would have still been without the experienced Liam Coyle, Mark McCrystal, Eamonn Doherty, Sean Friars, and Tommy McCallion for the Longford clash.

Derry's next game is against Shelbourne at the Brandywell on 12 June (1945BST).
