 Daryl Fordyce failed to secure a contract after a trial at Stoke |
Northern Ireland Under-21 international midfielder Daryl Fordyce has agreed to join Glentoran. Fordyce, who was released by Portsmouth at the end of last season, had been training with Ballymena United who were keen to secure his signature.
The 20-year-old played for the Glens in the 2-1 friendly defeat by Coventry City last week and will sign after returning from Milk Cup duty.
Fordyce played for Pompey reserves for thee years and on loan at Bournemouth.
Fordyce has played for N Ireland at U17 and U19 level and won five U21 caps.
Glens boss Alan McDonald is hopeful of also securing the services of defender Mark McChrystal.
