Daryl Fordyce failed to secure a contract after a trial at Stoke |
Northern Ireland U21 midfielder Daryl Fordyce is training with Ballymena United and Sky Blues boss Tommy Wright is keen to add the player to his squad. Fordyce, who has also played for Northern Ireland at U17 and U19 level, was recently released by Portsmouth.
"Crewe are showing some interest but Daryl is a quality player and we are prepared to wait for him," said Wright.
Wright is hoping to tie up a deal with striker Paudie Hearty this week and also sign another forward on loan.
Hearty formerly played for Dundalk but turned out for United as a trialist in the 4-0 friendly win over Portstewart on Saturday, scoring a goal.
