Daryl Fordyce failed to secure a contract after a trial at Stoke |
Northern Ireland Under-21 midfielder Daryl Fordyce is being chased by a number of Irish League clubs after being released by Portsmouth. The 20-year-old is set to return to Belfast after three years with Pompey reserves, a loan spell at Bournemouth and failing to secure a deal at Stoke.
Fordyce has played for N Ireland at U17 and U19 level and won five U21 caps.
Glentoran are one of the clubs believed to be chasing Fordyce who has already worked with Oval boss Alan McDonald.
His U21 team-mate Sammy Morrow is also a target for Irish League clubs after leaving Hibernian.
