Lawro's Premier League predictions

BBC Sport expert Mark Lawrenson

This season, BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson will pit his wits against a new guest each week.

Simon Mayo's Premier League predictions

It is the turn of former Radio 1 DJ Simon Mayo, now the presenter of Radio 2's Drivetime show, to predict the results for the next round of Premier League matches.

Mayo is a lifelong Tottenham fan and, like Lawro, he is backing Spurs to inflict Manchester United's first Premier League defeat of the season at the weekend. Don't forget you can see all of his predictions on Football Focus at 1215 GMT on BBC One and this website (in the UK) on Saturday.

This week's predictionsScoreLawroSimon Mayo
Birmingham v Aston Villa 1-1 1-1 1-0
Chelsea v Blackburn 2-0 2-0 3-1
Liverpool v Everton 2-2 1-1 0-0
Man City v Wolves 4-3 2-0 3-0
Stoke v Bolton 2-0 2-1 1-0
Sunderland v Newcastle 1-1 2-0 1-0
Tottenham v Man Utd 0-0 2-1 1-0
West Brom v Blackpool 3-2 2-1 0-2
West Ham v Arsenal 0-3 0-2 2-1
Wigan v Fulham 1-1 1-1 0-0

A correct result is worth ONE point, a correct score earns THREE points.

There was no guest for Lawro to pit his wits against for last weekend's FA Cup third round ties, and the scores do not count towards his Premier League average.

From the 21 games he looked at, he got 11 results right, including three perfect scores - one of which was Crawley Town's shock win over Derby.
