Swindon Supermarine manager Mark Collier says there is no reason they cannot cause a shock in the FA Cup when they take on Bath City on Saturday.

Supermarine play in the Southern League Premier Division, two levels below Bath, and a win would be the biggest in their short history.

"I spoke to the players in the week and said there would be an upset and why not us," Collier told BBC Wiltshire.

"I'd like to think we can come out of the game with no regrets."

The club was only established in 1992 as a merger between two local clubs, Supermarine FC and Swindon Athletic FC, both of which were struggling financially.

Financially a win would mean the start of something big at the Supermarine

A win against Bath would make an enormous difference to a side that recently had to raise £50,000 to stay afloat.

"Financially a win would mean the start of something big at the Supermarine," said Collier.

"It's been well documented the financial problems the club had over the summer and so far we've made £16,000 in the cup run which is a fabulous effort by the players.

"To be playing a match for £12,500 is a huge amount of money for a club like ours."

"But on the pitch to be playing a side that dine at the top table of non-league football on our own pitch is something we should relish."
