Farnborough progress but Woking and Staines held
Farnborough Town are safely through to the FA Cup 4th qualifying round after a 2-0 home win against Wessex Premier side Hamble ASSC football club.
Bradley Bubb scored twice as Farnborough had 32 shots at goal but were unable to make the most of their complete dominance.
Woking needed a late Joe McNerney equaliser to earn a draw at Ryman One North Brentwood Town.
And Staines had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Ryman Premier Bury Town.
Speaking after their 2-0 win over Hamble Farnborough manager Steve King told BBC Surrey: "Their keeper played fantastic. Our finishing was shocking today and I've told the boys that I'm not happy with that and this game could've been double figures.
"But credit to Hamble they kept going and tried their hearts out and they never gave up and they tried to make a game of it. It was a big game for them and everyone dreams of playing a higher level team and my dream is the same".
"I want to get to the first round, second and and third round and pit my ways against some of the professional clubs as managers and that's what you want to do and Hamble are no different."
Woking have a replay after coming from behind to a 3rd minute goal from Brentwood Town to draw 1-1. Woking manager Graham Baker told BBC Surrey: "Typical cup tie as we came here as favourites and you know what its going to be blood, thunder and a bit of a gluey pitch but we got on with it.
"They're a big strong physical team and they got off to a flyer and we gave them the goal in the first few minutes and that put us on the back foot and your always up against it. Thankfully we had all the play second-half, rightly so, because we were playing ten-men, we pummelled their goal and luckily we got the goal near the end to take it to a replay".
Staines were held 2-2 at Bury Town. Staines manager Steve Cordery told BBC Surrey: "We caused our own problems, we sat deeper and deeper, but then the chance we had at the end could have won the game for us. We were on top the first half and them the second".
