Redditch United scored once in each half to ease past Solihull Moors and reach the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Goals from Liam Francis and Jack Byrne put United just one win away from the first round proper.
"I thought we thoroughly deserved the win as we were the team that looked more likely throughout the 90 minutes," manager Gary Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Without being greedy, it could have been a couple of goals more but 2-0 will do and it was a good performance."
Whild added: "The lads can now look forward to Monday knowing that they are in the draw," he said.
"Depending on what happens, you are realistically within touching distance of the first round.
"For clubs at our level, that is obviously where you are looking to be."
The Reds boss also said that he has no preference as to who his side could be paired with in the fourth qualifying round, but he would prefer to be handed a home draw.
"I think it's safe to say that nobody is going to fancy coming to Redditch," he said.
"We'll see what comes on Monday, but the good thing is that we are in the draw."
