Brackley Town boss Phil Lines paid tribute to the battling spirit of his players after they bowed out of the FA Cup in the first round proper.
The Saints were beaten 2-1 at Nottinghamshire side Eastwood and Lines had no complaints.
"They were a goal better than us and so I feel it was a fair result," Lines told BBC Oxford.
"I am proud of the players and there is plenty still to play for this season, " Lines added.
The BGB Southern Premier Division side had never reached this stage of the competition previously in their history.
