Brave Chipstead were beaten 4-1 by Torquay United in their FA Cup fourth qualifying round match at Plainmoor.
The Surrey side went 2-0 down in the first half before Daryl Coleman pulled one back for the visitors early in the second half.
But two late goals both scored by Tim Sills killed the tie.
Manager Nicky English told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I was pleased, the lads proved the gap between our leagues isn't as big as it used to be."
