Wroxham geared up for Cup derby

Wroxham is used to crowds of 100 rather than 1,000

More than 1,000 fans are expected at Trafford Park on Saturday for Wroxham's FA Cup tie with rivals King's Lynn.

A large proportion of the crowd are expected to be Linnets fans but Wroxham treasurer Kenny Cooke says they are ready for a surge in support.

"There's no problem fitting anyone in at all, we just hope and pray everything goes off alright.

"We've a 1500-space parking field next to the ground and the police will be getting people in and out," he said.

Wroxham play in the Ridgeons League Premier Division, while Lynn are effectively three divisions above in Blue Square North.

Linnets manager Keith Webb believes their support, expected to top 700, could make a big difference.

"King's Lynn have got a great tradition in the cup and the supporters really do get behind the players on those occasions," he said.

"I know that when the crowd get behind the boys at Lynn it gives them that little bit more impetus to go and do well," he added.
