Striker Adam Birchall struck seven minutes from time to send Barnet into the third round of the FA Cup and break Blue Square side Burton's hearts. Birchall took advantage of some poor defending to latch on to Jason Puncheon's corner and stab the ball in.
Birchall fired wide in the first half as Barnet pressed forward at Underhill.
Burton had a goal ruled out for offside when Michael Simpson found Shaun Harrad and he fired home, only for Birchall to win it and set up a trip to Swindon.
