The New Saints have tackled Uefa over whether opponents CSKA Sofia should be thrown out of the Europa League.
They felt the Bulgarians, who won the first leg 3-0 at home, had broken financial and administrative rules.
"Uefa checked a couple of their players from the first leg, but they've told us they were eligible," general manager Ian Williams told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"But they are in disarray and there could be questions to be asked over the financial aspects of the club."
And as Saints prepare for their second leg at Wrexham on Thursday, Williams added: "Our enquiries won't stop."
Sofia's problems have been highlighted on the field too, with a poor start to their domestic season and the sudden departure of their manager Pavel Dochev.
Saints looked to have done enough to earn a draw in Bulgaria in the previous week's first leg, but were punished by three goals in the last nine minutes.
