 | GREECE 1-0 CZECH REPUBLIC |
Greece's goalscorer Traianos Dellas, who headed home the silver goal against the Czech Republic, thanked God for their semi-final victory in Euro 2004. He said: "We did an unrepeatable thing. We deserve to be in the final, we proved we have an organised and good team. At the end God gave us the win.
"I realised when we were given the corner that exactly 14 minutes, 36 seconds of extra time had been played.
"I said to myself that now we must do it. Someone heard me."
Dellas added: "And after that I scored. I thank from the bottom of my heart the Greek fans who were here and those back home. I think we have done something historic."
Midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos admitted that the team was living a dream.
"It was a very good, a brilliant day for us and a black day for the Czechs. We live in a dream, it's wonderful and we don't want to wake up."
